Spend 1.5 hours at Aurora Basecamp, about 30 minutes from Reykjavik, learning about the Northern Lights before watching the sky from a dark, open site. Your English-speaking guide leads a short exhibition visit, then you can warm up with hot chocolate or tea in the heated lounge, sit by fire pits, and get help with aurora photography. Transport is not included.

It felt like a picnic, a social gathering where people from different countries came together toasting marshmallows, across a number of bonfires , occasionally grabbing a cup of hot chocolate and when the cold would get demanding , go back and get some warmth in the beautiful igloo shaped tents.
