“We started on time. Our guide, Nico, was adept at keeping us entertained and engaged with our surroundings. Perhaps a plan B to stop regurgitating same information about the sheep and horses. We’ve been in Iceland for 4 days now. Same information was disseminated. The Crater and Dark City was an amazing experience.”

“We did our tour on August 11th, 2025 and the weather was beautiful. While I wish I could give this excursion a 5-star review, I can't. It's not because of the tour operator, they did a fine job escorting us between sites and providing a knowledgable Icelandic guide, Danni, but because of 2 of the 4 stops. First the bad: Crater row at Skutustadir is a waste of time and is swarming with midges. I had an ultra fine mesh hood so I was okay but the rest of the folks were not having a good time of it. Free toilets are available here. And you can buy a mesh…”

“We had a wonderful trip with Armann, the owner of Imagine Iceland. He was so knowledgeable about geology, history and folklore. He was able to keep a diverse group of child, grandchildren and old people entertained and educated. We were comfortable in his well maintained van. There were lots of flies at some of the sites, but he was thoughtful and would only stop to talk in places where the wind was blowing to keep the flies away. This was one of the highlights of our trip to Iceland. I would vigorously recommend Imagine Iceland for a great insight into this island country.Read more”
